FTCC strives to provide the best quality programs for your children the Programming Teachers of Friendly Times have extensive programming experience and education All program is emergent meaning it is based on the current interests of the children Teachers also use the Elect Frame work which is used in Schools for the Full Day Kindergarten Curriculum. use the Emergent style of programming
Friendly Times believes that the environment is one of the fundamentally important aspects of a childcare centre. The environment a child spends his or her day in must be bright, pleasant and stimulating to their senses. Only in such an environment can a child develop positive self-esteem, self-confidence and learn mutual respect and a sense of sharing and caring towards others.
The rooms are organized into a variety of activity centres (sand area, paint area, etc.) and, in addition, we recognize that music is a delightful medium for children to learn and enjoy so it is incorporated into many activities in an informal way throughout the day. In the school-age room is organized into the more familiar “school” classroom style, with a variety of school-age appropriate activity centres (computer area, craft area, etc.).
Safety of the children will always be of primary importance and has been considered when designing the layout of the rooms and choosing both indoor and outdoor equipment. Toys and equipment are cleaned and inspected regularly to ensure that they are sanitary and safe.
